This is my favourite of the three crafts - I like it best because a) everyone has mugs they can upcycle b) it was the most simple to do c) it’s the most liberating (artistically speaking) and d) I think it’s likely to be the most used of the three

My only advice when making this craft is be sure to look at whether the recipient is left handed or right handed - you want the design to be on the front of the mug when they drink. 

Tools:

1. Mugs - any colours, any size, any age!
2. Permanent Porcelain Markers - $5 for a pack of 5, at Michaels

Step 1: Think ahead about what you want to design - monogram, a funny inside joke, a special date, something perhaps even more artistic… a floral design perhaps?

Step 2: Wipe your mugs clean with a soft cloth - swiffer cloth or a blue shop cloth, whatever you’ve got. Then - start drawing!

A special monogram - that “L” is for The Cpt’s first name, not for Love. (Why I felt the need to clarify this, I have no idea)

A special date - this is The Cpt and I’d wedding date :)
